Updates Regarding My Chronic Inactivity

You’re wondering why activity across all platforms has been on a sharp decline throughout the year. Other than having a full-time job since 2024, I’ve been at war trying to control my body weight. From post-COVID to now, I was steadily gaining weight as everything was shut down back then, and it discouraged me from going outside. My old weight prior to the shutdowns was around 185 lbs. This is considered to be healthy for a 6′ 2″ guy. About a year into my job, I saw a program offered by my work’s health insurance company called Omada, a health and lifestyle coaching program. I signed up for the program, where they gave me a digital scale for free. My first weigh-in was 236.7 lbs, and I maintained that throughout the first few months. By the end of the year, I started to gain weight yet again into 2026.

At the start of the year, I was just under 245 lbs. My worst was 245.8 lbs in February. This is considered to be “obese” with a BMI rating of 31.6. I began to reconsider my life choices as I was approaching the 250 lb mark. I committed to a gym membership a month later, as well as reducing my portions of each meal. I began going to the gym about 3-4 times a week, doing cardio and strength workouts. Because of this, I started to lose weight, little by little every week. I was losing about 2-3 lbs per week by working out and reducing my intake. Between 5/23 and 5/31, I lost 5.9 lbs. That is a considerable amount of weight lost in 8 days! On September 29th, I finally dropped below 200 lbs, with a weight of 198.8 lbs! As I stand now, I’m currently at 194 lbs.

Seeing that I’m below the 200 lb mark, I will attempt to lose an additional 30 lbs to be around 170 lbs by 2027. I want to be sure I’m not going back to getting fat again. Speaking of my weight, as I recall from that K1 Speed vlog on the It’s TRIZE Here! channel. The kart struggled to accelerate in some spots due to me weighing nearly 250 lbs. The weight limit on those karts is 300 lbs. I went again in mid-July, when I weighed 218 lbs. That 30 lb drop in body weight allowed the kart to accelerate and corner better than my last visit in January. Below are some exclusive videos of my two sessions at the same K1 track in Oxford, MI. My best lap was a 22.651, which put me in the top 20 for the week and a top 80 for the month.

So, you’re thinking this to yourself. Am I going to see more uploads on either YouTube channels? Eventually, yes. As of this post, I plan on pre-recording videos of My Summer Car, My Winter Car, BeamNG for PS5, and BeamNG RLS Career Mode. I want to at least do this so I have a manageable backlog of videos to edit and publish on the main TRIZE gaming channel. For the It’s TRIZE Here! vlogging channel, there isn’t much to think about what to do there. I did a test run of the left lane hogging experiment on the Ohio Turnpike a couple of months ago. However, I didn’t get a lot of activity. Other than passing slower traffic on the right and drivers being more compliant with the left lane law than I thought. I may re-try this experiment on I-75, rather than a highway toll. As there were fewer drivers there compared to the regular highway.
